Business Neighbourhood Shared Fibre Line - How Does It Work?

Speeds up to 1 Gbps, prices from £90 per month

Installation

Boundless will install one or more super-high capacity dedicated fibre lines of 1 or 10 Gbps into a cabinet or participating business. These fibre lines are shared between participating businesses.

Connection

Using a combination of dark fibre and specialist Gigabit wireless equipment, we connect each participating business. Each participating business has a dedicated link which is capable of 1 Gigabit or higher.

Distribution

Using the power of our core network equipment we share the connection between the businesses, ensuring that each is totally isolated from the next for security and that the available bandwidth is distributed fairly and in line with the subscription.

Solution

Participating businesses can choose between 150 Mbps and 1 Gbps, depending on the details of the individual scheme.

Dedicated Fibre Line - How does it work?

Boundless supplies conventional leased lines using national carriers such as Openreach, Virgin Media and SSE. However, we also provide private dark fibre and dark microwave solutions to businesses for diversity, additional speed and innovative yet simple multi-site or site-to-site connectivity. Often, we can blend our technology to suit the individual business or business neighbourhood. Our flexibility and agility, as well as being comfortable working with fibre optic, microwave and millimetre-wave technology translates into delivering the best balance of short lead-time, high-performance and low-cost services.

Our customers include data centres, business park owners, national enterprises and local groups of schools. They choose Boundless over national carriers because our agility and core network allows us to create highly optimised connectivity solutions at a very reasonable cost.

Fixed 5G - How does it work?

Boundless owns one of the largest networks built for Fixed 5G Wireless internet access and is one of the UK’s pioneers in this technology.

Our private Fibre to the Mast (FTTM™) network covers much of Lancashire and the Yorkshires and comprises of a network of fibre optic lines and wireless towers. If your business has line of sight to one of our transmission sites, we simply install a smart antenna on the outside of your property and install a cable router to the inside. Speeds are agreed in advance and our connections are business-grade, with support for all internet services including latency-sensitive applications such as VoIP, Video and VPNs. All our network supports customer connections of 50Mbps or higher and selected locations are Gigabit-capable.

Customers prefer our Fixed 5G service to conventional connectivity because of the affordability and service available, as well as for secondary connections to provide backup to leased lines where outages can be costly. As our network is largely diverse from BT’s infrastructure, local supply problems can usually be bypassed using Boundless.
