Acquisition & merger creates leading UK Fixed Wireless Provider

Boundless Networks has become one of the UK’s leading Fixed Wireless Internet Service Providers for business and residential customers following an acquisition and merger of Leeds-based LN Communications and Lancashire’s Boundless Communications.

LN Communications’ acquisition of Boundless Communications creates the new, enlarged organisation, Boundless Networks, offering coast-to-coast wireless coverage across the North of England. Its new critical mass allows it to service even more properties, deliver even better service levels and offer a richer set of products to its customers at better value.

Boundless Networks now has one of the largest wireless coverage footprints of any such specialist internet service provider in the country. High speed internet access is now essential for businesses and homes, but traditional broadband providers such as BT and Virgin Media are constrained by the use of underground or overhead cables. This makes their coverage patchy and inconsistent. LN and Boundless have been independently working on this problem for many years and delivering superfast connectivity to thousands of properties, especially businesses, across Lancashire and Yorkshire.

Entrepreneur and Boundless Networks Chairman David Hood comments: “High speed wireless technology operated by Boundless Networks represents the only cost effective and reliable technology for the hundreds of thousands of premises across the UK that have been left behind by the traditional players. Our wireless services are loved by our rural and urban clients, who get access speeds from 10Mbps to 1Gbps. The technical expertise and advanced cloud services developed by Boundless, together with LN’s community-led focus will ensure Boundless Networks can become the de facto high speed choice for customers across the whole of the North of England and beyond.”

The combined organisation has wireless coverage of over 3,500 square miles and operates a private national fibre network from its data centre in Manchester.

With the UK Government committed to broadband speeds of 10Mbps for everyone in the UK, and up to 1.5 million rural households currently being told they will have to wait for two to three years before getting a basic internet service required for a ‘typical’ family home, Boundless Networks is well placed to provide a solution for these households and rural businesses.

“We believe Boundless Networks is the fastest and largest Fibre Wireless Internet Service Provider in rural and remote areas of the UK; we offer the most reliable broadband connections to homes and businesses,” says David.
